Why Keep a November Prayer Journal?
First Thessalonians 5:18 reminds us, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” Giving thanks in every circumstance is not the same as pretending every circumstance is good. You can acknowledge grief, uncertainty, or exhaustion while still trusting God’s goodness.
A November prayer journal creates space for that kind of honest conversation. Instead of writing only about the things that went well, you can also record what remains difficult and ask the Lord for wisdom, strength, and peace. Over time, those written prayers become reminders of how God has helped you.
What Is Included in This Free Printable November Prayer Journal?
Our 33-page printable November prayer journal includes a cover, simple instructions, thirty dated daily reflections, weekly pauses, and a closing prayer for entering December. Every day features a King James Version Scripture reference, a thoughtful prompt, and writing space for three things: what you are thankful for, your honest prayer, and one faithful step you can take.
Topics include gratitude without pretending, mercy at the table, grace for hard places, peace around the table, generosity without spending money, and hope while waiting. The Thanksgiving prayer prompts also help you reflect on what remains worthy of thanks after the holiday is over.
How to Use Your 30-Day Gratitude Prayer Journal
Begin with five to ten minutes each morning or evening. Read the day’s Scripture in your Bible. Think about the question, then write down one specific blessing. It might be a conversation, a quiet moment, or the strength to finish an ordinary task. Small blessings are still gifts worth recognizing.
Next, write the prayer you actually need to pray. You do not have to make it sound impressive. Tell God what concerns you and where you need His help. Finally, identify one simple action. Thank someone, encourage a neighbor, or choose to release a worry into God’s hands.
If you miss a day, do not abandon your gratitude prayer journal. Start again with the next entry. You can print the whole journal or only the pages you need. There is no requirement to complete every prompt perfectly.
A Thanksgiving Prayer for Every Season
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your goodness through every season. Thank You for the gifts I noticed and the quiet mercies I almost missed. When I feel anxious, give me peace. When I am weary, renew my strength. Help me remember Your faithfulness, offer kindness to others, and trust You with the unfinished parts of my story. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Carry Thanksgiving into December
When November ends, look back through your journal. Which prayers have been answered? Which blessings surprised you? What are you still waiting for? You may not have every answer, but you can enter the next season with a clearer memory of God’s mercy. Your November prayer journal is not simply a record of a holiday. It is a record of gratitude, honesty, and trust.
