Submit a Prayer That Could Encourage Someone Else
Have you ever written a prayer and thought that someone else might need those same words? This page gives you a place to submit a prayer for possible publication on Get Prayer. We are looking for thoughtful, original Christian prayers that can help another believer pray through a real season of life.
This is different from our online prayer request page. A prayer request tells us what you would like others to pray about, while this page is for a complete prayer that you have written and would like us to consider publishing publicly. Therefore, your submission should read like a finished prayer that someone else could pray along with.
Please aim for approximately 500 to 700 words. That length gives you room to slow down, think deeply, and write with purpose instead of rushing through a few lines. At the same time, your prayer should remain focused enough that a reader can easily understand what the prayer is about and why it matters.
What Kind of Prayer Can You Submit?
Your prayer can come from a personal season, a burden you have carried, a lesson God has taught you, or an area where believers often need encouragement. For example, you might write about grief, family, work, fear, healing, forgiveness, marriage, loneliness, parenting, faith, gratitude, or beginning again. However, the prayer should ultimately point the reader toward God rather than simply telling a personal story.
A supporting Bible verse may strengthen your prayer, but Scripture is optional. If you include Scripture, make sure it genuinely supports the prayer instead of adding a verse simply because you feel one is required. Most importantly, write in a way that sounds sincere, prayerful, and useful to another person who may be walking through something similar.
Submission Guidelines
- Submit an original Christian prayer of approximately 500 to 700 words.
- Your prayer should be written for possible public publication on Get Prayer.
- A supporting Scripture is welcome but optional.
- Do not include private or identifying information about another person without their permission.
- Your prayer should be your own original writing and not copied from another website, book, devotional, or author.
- If selected, we may make light edits for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and basic clarity.
- We will not intentionally change the meaning, theology, or message of your prayer during those light edits.
- Submission does not guarantee publication.
- No payment, royalty, fee, or other compensation is promised or implied for submitting or publishing your prayer.
What Happens If Your Prayer Is Selected?
If your prayer is selected, Get Prayer may publish it publicly as a page or post on this website. We may include the name or pen name you provide, while your email address will not be published. In addition, an optional website or social link may be reviewed for possible inclusion when appropriate.
Before publication, we may lightly edit the prayer for grammar, spelling, punctuation, or basic clarity. Those edits are intended to make the piece easier to read without changing what you meant to say. By submitting, you acknowledge that you are giving Get Prayer permission to review your prayer and, if selected, publish it publicly on the site.
Please understand that no compensation is promised or implied. Get Prayer does not promise payment, royalties, fees, gifts, or any other financial benefit in exchange for a submitted or published prayer. The purpose of this opportunity is to give believers a place to share prayers that may encourage and strengthen other readers.
