This week’s Monday Prayer is based off the busiest Father’s Day weekend I’ve had in a while. Did I mention it was also peaceful?
That’s right, peaceful. But as I get older I am beginning to realize weekend getaways can be quite a workout on my body, so here are some things I learned before we pray over the week that isn’t promised to us:
- Get a good hotel. Don’t go cheap like, ever. You’ll wake up like you fell off the third floor of your house. Save the money, make the investment.
- Speaking of money, save a couple of hundred so that you can truly enjoy yourself sans the worry of running out of money.
- Should be first: Pray over your time away. Cannot emphasize this enough.

Monday Blessings: A Prayer To Lean On
Heavenly Father,
As we rise from the refreshment of a long weekend, we thank You for the moments of rest and rejuvenation. Help us to carry this peaceful spirit into the workweek ahead. Guide our hearts and minds as we set our intentions for the days to come. May we be filled with Your wisdom and strength, ready to face the tasks before us with grace and determination.
As we transition back into our routines, remind us to seek Your presence in every moment. Help us to find joy in our work and purpose in our daily responsibilities. Allow us to spread kindness and encouragement to those around us, shining Your light in our workplaces.
We ask for Your blessings upon this week, that we may find success in our endeavors and the courage to overcome challenges.
In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
