Monday Morning prayer looks a little different for me this week. This is the final week of my contracted work. Here’s what I’m praying.
I’m praying the Lord Jesus Christ makes a way for me and my family, like He always does. I wasn’t upset when I got the news. I was hoping it would last until the Fall season came around. Funny enough, I’m actually at peace with it. It’s not that I didn’t like the work, but I had to do a lot of learning on the gig. I am blessed to have had great people around me during my time with the company.
Life is funny like that: One minute you’re feeling good about paying your mortgage on time, and the next minute you’re seeing the waters of life rise yet again. That’s why we cannot depend on our own plans but on God’s. I have been in this Waiting Room of faith enough to know what I need to do and how to lead my wife and kids in this season we’re entering yet again. It comes with the territory of being a Contractor.

Monday Morning Prayer: Here’s To Smooth Exits And To What’s Next
Dear Lord Jesus, as the words of this Monday morning prayer leave my mind to this post, I come before You with a heart full of joy and hope. I thank you for the blessing of a new day, for the air in my lungs, and for the opportunity to witness Your awesome provision once again. Your Word tells me in Psalm 118:24, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Lord, I choose to rejoice in Your provisions and embrace the possibilities that lie ahead.
As I step into this week, I pray for Your guidance in every decision I make. Help me to remember that I am never alone. Your promise in Isaiah 41:10 reminds me, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” I lean on Your strength as I navigate the challenges that may come my way. Fill me with wisdom and discernment, and let my actions reflect Your love and grace.
Lord, I also lift up my family and friends to You this morning. I ask for Your divine protection over each one of them. Fill our hearts with joy and our minds with peace. As it says in Philippians 4:7, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” May we experience this peace as we face the ups and downs of life together. I pray for healing where it is needed, be it emotional, physical, or spiritual.
Help me to be a light in my community, to reflect Your love to those around me. I do not want to be stressed out every day. May my words be kind, my actions be thoughtful, and my heart be open to serving others. I am reminded of Matthew 5:16, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Let my life be a testimony of Your goodness, drawing others to You. Help them see my faith in this time.
As I plan my week ahead, I ask for Your presence to be felt in every meeting, every task, and every conversation. Reveal the opportunities where I can share Your message. Empower me to be bold in my faith. I know that I can trust in Your plan for my life, as promised in Proverbs 3:5-6, which states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Remind me you’ve got this under control when I worry.
Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer. I trust that You are working all things together for my good. May this Monday morning prayer set the tone for a week filled with Your blessings, peace, and purpose. In Your holy name, I pray. Amen.*
