Today is the first day of Summer, and I don’t know about you, it still feels like Spring! But hey, we made it and we’re in a new season. There’s nothing like the feeling of entering a new season in weather and in life.
One of my fondest Summer memories is when my uncle would pick us up in his large 1991 Chevy Van G20 and carry me and my siblings to the beach. We’d stop at the local pizza place and off to the beach we’d go. I’m very far from that, and maybe you are too. Things change just like the seasons. That’s why keeping our prayer life consistent in every season of our lives is important.
The first day of Summer is a good time to really focus on your communication with Jesus and what the needs and wants this season. Let’s set some goals, stay positive, and make sure our hearts and minds are focusing on creating and protecting the joy we have in Jesus.

Prayer For The First Day Of Summer
Heavenly Father,
As we celebrate the first day of Summer, we come before You with grateful hearts. Thank You for the gift of this new season, for the warmth of the sun, and for the beauty of Your creation that surrounds us. We are reminded of Psalm 19:1, which declares that the heavens proclaim Your glory. May we take time to appreciate all the wonders You have made.
Lord, we ask that this summer be filled with opportunities for growth and renewal. May we take to heart the wisdom of James 1:17, knowing that every good gift comes from You. Help us to seek You in all that we do and foster the fruits of the Spirit in our lives, as encouraged in Galatians 5:22-23.
Guide our steps each day, Lord, helping us to find joy in our time with family and friends, and in the moments of solitude where we can draw closer to You. May we reflect on Matthew 11:28, finding rest in Your presence amid the busyness of life.
As we embark on this season, let our hearts be filled with Your peace, and may we always remember to give thanks in all circumstances, as urged by 1 Thessalonians 5:18. We commit this summer to You, trusting that You will lead us and bless our endeavors.
In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
