Finding Faith means stop stressing about something that hasn’t happened, right now. That’s crazy work. Trade imagined disasters for real peace. Today we travel to Psalm 94:19.
We spend so much of life stressing about something that hasn’t happened. We build mental mountains from molehills, rehearsing future failures before we’ve taken the first step. This kind of stress is spiritual quicksand. It keeps us stuck, sinking deeper in fear, while God is calling us to move forward in faith.

The enemy loves when we waste our strength on things that may never occur. But God invites us to be present, to live in this day with the grace He has already poured out. He doesn’t bless our hypothetical worries, he blesses our trust. That’s where faith wins.
Psalm 94:19 reminds us:
“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”
Don’t Let Tomorrow’s “Maybe” Rob Today’s “Already”
If you’re stressing about something that hasn’t happened, ask yourself has God changed? Has His faithfulness ever failed you? The fear of the future often blinds us to the goodness right in front of us. You don’t need to borrow stress from tomorrow. God gives peace for today, and His track record proves He’s more than enough for whatever comes next.
The Bible doesn’t say you’ll never feel overwhelmed, it says that when you do, His consolation, His nearness, His voice will bring joy. Not just relief. Joy. That’s not found in your plan. That’s found in His presence.
Three Steps to Stop Stressing About Something That Hasn’t Happened
- Recognize It: Worry often disguises itself as preparation. Ask yourself, “Am I planning wisely, or panicking quietly?”
- Release It: Don’t pray and then pick the fear back up. Lay it down and walk away trusting He’s already ahead of you.
- Refocus: Replace your stress with scripture. Let God’s truth rewrite the story you’ve been writing in fear.
God doesn’t just want to calm you—He wants to change your relationship with fear. When you stop stressing about something that hasn’t happened, you start experiencing peace that surpasses all understanding.
- Psalm 55:22
“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” - Isaiah 41:10
“So do not fear, for I am with you… I will strengthen you and help you.” - John 14:27
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives…” - 2 Timothy 1:7
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
