I think it’s only fitting we say a prayer for America on July 4. Having served in the Navy and sailed in international waters, I have seen enough of the world to know that we reside in a truly unique land. Even when the headlines feel heavy and the noise of the world grows loud, I stand firm in the assurance that Jesus remains on the throne. He sees every concern. Moreover, He remains ready to answer every need. Our nation’s best days are not behind us. In fact, our freedoms remain a gift worth stewarding with gratitude, peace, and unwavering prayer for America on July 4.
A Prayer for America on July 4
Heavenly Father, on this Independence Day, we stand before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of freedom. We recognize that every good and perfect gift comes from You. As we celebrate the liberty we enjoy, we ask for Your hand of protection and guidance over the United States of America. In addition, we remember the importance of offering a prayer for America on July 4 as part of our national tradition.
Lord, grant our leaders wisdom that surpasses human understanding. May they govern with integrity, compassion, and a genuine heart for the common good. We pray for our citizens. Eventually, may we be a people who choose love over division, kindness over conflict, and service over selfishness.
Furthermore, we ask for Your peace to settle across our land. Heal the wounds of our past, bridge the gaps that divide us, and unite us under the values of justice and liberty for all.
