Romans 12:8: Simple Acts with Profound Impact (Listen Now)

Romans 12:8 gives us a few thoughts on how we as Christians can be authentic in what we do for others this Christmas season.

Romans 12:8: exhortation, giving, leading, showing mercy, cheerfully, generosity, diligence, It is at verse 8 we are focused today. Verse 8 is part of a dialogue about being real. Paul is saying if that’s what God gave you to do, then do it. And that’s what we need this Holiday season: People who are going to be real in all of their efforts. This is uncomplicated giving.

Romans 12:8 says, “..if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

This week on our podcast we dive into each of these actions and they can be effective in what you do for others this holiday season. The quest for realness is something surprisingly needed in today’s world. So many are doing acts of kindness for other reasons than just wanting to help. They may want to show it on Social Media for likes, tweets, pins, etc… Others just want to make themselves feel good, regardless of how they are invoking shame on that person for recording the event.

This week’s episode hopes to provide perspective and give viewers more to think about than what looks good to others. We give because God gave us His son Jesus to do what we could not do for ourselves: Die for the sins of the world.

Be encouraged.
