Finding Faith means lifting a 9/11 prayer of healing and hope today. Today we travel to Acts 4:31.
September 11 remains one of the most difficult days in American history. Even years later, the memories still stir grief, but also courage. As we pause, we lift a 9/11 prayer to honor the lives lost, the families still carrying sorrow, and the first responders who showed the very heart of sacrifice.

If you’d like to learn more about remembrance and ongoing education, you can visit the 9/11 Memorial & Museum for resources that honor the legacy of that day.
Bible Reading to Consider
Acts 4:31 (NIV)
“After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.”

A Prayer for 9/11
Father in Heaven, we bring before You the memories of September 11. We grieve with those who still carry the weight of that day. We pray for peace where fear has lingered, for hope where despair has settled, and for faith where doubt has grown. Lord, bless the families who lost loved ones, the survivors who still bear emotional or physical scars, and the communities that continue to heal. Let our remembrance not only recall tragedy, but also inspire courage, compassion, and unity. May Your Spirit move in us, just as You moved in those early believers, filling us with boldness to stand for love over hate and light over darkness. On this day, may our prayers shake heaven and remind us that You are still with us, leading us through. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Each day, Get Prayer Today offers a prayer to center our hearts and lift up the needs of the world around us. Finding Faith gives these simple offerings to support your rhythm of reflection, healing, and community care.
