According to reports, a cargo ship rammed into Baltimore’s Francis Scott Bridge early Tuesday, causing the span to collapse and rescuers to launch a massive search for at least six people who are missing.

Personnel on the ship alerted the Maryland Department of Transportation that they lost control of the vessel, and officials were able to close the bridge before it was struck, “which undoubtedly saved lives,” President Joe Biden told reporters.
A Prayer for Those Affected by the Francis Scott Bridge Accident
Heavenly Father,
We come before you with heavy hearts, lifting up in prayer those affected by the recent tragedy at the Francis Scott Bridge in Baltimore. We ask for your comfort and strength to be with the families and friends of the missing individuals, as well as with the rescuers involved in the search efforts. Grant them perseverance, hope, and guidance as they navigate through this challenging time.
We also pray for the individuals on the cargo ship, that they may find solace and support in the midst of this crisis. May your wisdom be upon the officials and first responders involved, as they work tirelessly to aid those in need and bring about resolution.
Lord, we are grateful for the swift actions that were taken to prevent further harm, and we recognize the value of lives saved through these efforts. We ask for your continued protection and guidance over all those impacted by this incident.
In your mercy, hear our prayers and bring comfort and healing to the affected community. May they find strength in each other and in the knowledge of your ever-present love.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
