As we begin a new week, let’s support the America Prays initiative with a schedule that helps us to remember to do just that: pray.
Fall often brings busier days, shorter light, and heavier routines. Yet prayer can anchor us. It steadies our hearts, focuses our minds, and lifts our nation before God.

What Is the America Prays Initiative?
The America Prays initiative is a national call to prayer launched as part of America’s 250th anniversary. Its aim is simple: encourage individuals, families, and churches to dedicate time each week to pray for the country, its leaders, and its people. You can explore the details on the White House official page.
This fall prayer schedule gives you a focus for every day of the week. With a verse, a prompt, and a short thought, it helps transform busy routines into moments with God.
America Prays Weekly Schedule
Monday – Families Rooted in Faith
Pray for families to remain strong and steady. Jeremiah 17:7-8 says that those who trust the Lord are like trees planted by water. Families rooted in faith withstand storms. Ask God to strengthen homes, guard marriages, and nurture children.
Tuesday – Leaders Walking in Wisdom
Pray for leaders at every level. James 3:17 describes wisdom from above as pure, peaceable, and full of mercy. Ask God to give leaders discernment, patience, and humility so they govern with integrity.

Wednesday – Communities in Connection
Focus on your community. Fall weather draws people together, which makes it a good time to pray for unity. For inspiration, see the National Day of Prayer guide. Ask God to spark kindness in neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces.
Thursday – Churches Renewed
Pray for churches across America to find fresh energy in worship and mission. Just as trees shed leaves for new growth, ask God to help believers release distractions. Pray for pastors to preach boldly and for congregations to serve joyfully.
Friday – Comfort for the Hurting
Pray for people walking through grief or major life changes. Fall reminds us that endings lead to new beginnings. Ask God to comfort those who mourn, steady the anxious, and give direction to the weary.
Saturday – A Season of Harvest
Pray for a spiritual harvest. Matthew 9:37-38 reminds us that the harvest is plentiful but workers are few. Ask God to raise up faithful laborers and to bring renewal in every community.
Sunday – Revelation and Return
End the week by praying for America to return to God’s Word. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that every season has a purpose. Ask God to reveal His truth and stir revival in our nation.
America Prays to Stay Faithful This Week
Prayer
Lord, as I walk through this week, guide me with purpose. Teach me to pause daily and follow this schedule with joy. Remind me that prayer is not a burden but a blessing. Give me strength when I feel weak, courage when distractions rise, and focus when life gets busy. Let each day’s prayer shape my heart and actions so I honor You. Keep me faithful, and let my prayers lift both my life and my nation. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
