Monday Motivation: A Prayer To Do Your Best

Monday Motivation can feel a little strange, can’t it? If you started last week with the same intentions and crashed horribly, don’t worry. Guess what? It’s Monday again, and we have another chance.

God’s blessings often become clearer when we lean on our faith in Jesus Christ. Every Monday morning, we step out our front doors believing it will be a great day. However, sometimes one difficult conversation, one unexpected bill, one stressful email, or one disappointing moment can knock us off track.

As a result, discouragement settles in quickly. Before long, we start training our minds to expect disappointment instead of expecting God to help us through the challenges ahead. Yet that mindset steals our joy before the day even begins.

So let’s change that.

Instead of focusing on everything that could go wrong, let’s focus on what we can do today. We can choose to be better. We can choose to think better. Most importantly, we can choose to trust God a little more than we did yesterday.

Faith Art Journals: A Different Way To Pray

If you’ve never been someone who enjoys writing pages and pages in a journal, perhaps it’s time to try something different.

The other day, I came across something online called a Faith Art Journal. My first reaction was, “What’s this???” Then I realized it was exactly what it sounds like. People were expressing their prayers, thoughts, worries, hopes, and praises to God through art.

Honestly, I loved it.

Naturally, it found its way into my Creative Prayer Journal category.

Here’s a simple challenge I’d like you to try this week. And when you get done with this one, check out my other ideas in our Creative Prayer Journaling category.

First, grab a small notepad. Better yet, pick up a few. Keep one in your vehicle, one by your bed, and one in your bag or backpack. (Ministries you an buy in bulk by clicking here)

NOTE: As an Amazon Influencer, I receive a commission from qualifying purchases. Those commissions help support Get-Prayer.com and allow us to continue creating faith-based resources.

Now carry that notepad with you throughout the week.

Whenever a thought, worry, blessing, prayer request, idea, scripture, or life lesson comes to mind, sketch it. Don’t worry about artistic talent. Draw stick figures if that’s all you can do. The point isn’t perfection.

The point is paying attention.

When God teaches you something, answers a prayer, draw it. Discouraged? Experiencing joy? sketch that too.

By the end of the week, you’ll have a visual record of how God has been present in your life. Furthermore, you’ll begin noticing blessings you may have missed otherwise.

Three Ways To Do Your Best This Week

1. Focus On Faithfulness, Not Perfection

Perfection is exhausting. Faithfulness is achievable.

God never asked you to be perfect today. Instead, He asks you to trust Him and take the next step forward.

2. Celebrate Small Wins

Sometimes the biggest victory is simply refusing to quit.

Maybe you got out of bed when you didn’t feel like it. Maybe you prayed when your heart felt heavy. Perhaps you showed kindness when frustration would have been easier.

Those things matter.

3. Remember Who Walks With You

You are not facing this week alone.

The same God who carried you through previous challenges is still with you today. Therefore, don’t let one difficult moment convince you that the entire week is ruined.

A Prayer To Do Your Best

Lord Jesus,

Thank You for another Monday and another opportunity to begin again. Too often I allow setbacks, disappointments, and frustrations to define my outlook. Instead of expecting Your help, I find myself expecting problems.

Today, help me change that way of thinking.

Give me the wisdom to focus on what I can do rather than worrying about what I cannot control. Strengthen my faith when challenges arise. Help me remember that one difficult moment does not determine the outcome of my entire week.

Lord, help me do my best with the gifts, opportunities, and responsibilities You have placed before me. When I become discouraged, remind me that You are still working. When I grow tired, give me strength. When I feel uncertain, guide my steps.

Teach me to notice Your blessings, celebrate small victories, and trust You more deeply each day.May my attitude honor You, my actions reflect You, and my words encourage others.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Bible Verse For The Week

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”
Colossians 3:23 (KJV)

As you head into this week, remember this simple truth: You don’t have to be perfect. You just need to faithfully do your best and trust God with the rest.
