My prayer for you today is to just feel better. I’m sure you’re looking at the bottom of your Christmas tree wondering how you’re going to make Christmas happen this year. So today’s prayers for anxiety will hopefully bring some peace to your day and the days ahead.
Every year, we reach December and measure success by the number of gifts we buy. We ask if we can afford that Christmas trip without worrying about bills. Before long, it becomes overwhelming. Many people check out emotionally, and loved ones never see the inner struggle to hold back tears.

The anxiety of wanting a good Christmas grows stronger each day. If you’ve never experienced that, be grateful. If you are experiencing it, take heart. Jesus Christ is with you.
It is written in 1 Peter 5:6–8:
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.
7 Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
Why those verses? Realize God is your Provider. The blessing is coming. Give Him all the anxiety because he loves you so much he sent his son Jesus. He’s the reason for the season! Then stay alert knowing Satan wants to take your mind and destroy your season of hope.
Prayer is your response to pressure and pain. It should come before every decision and challenge. Consider today your Wellness Wednesday. Take these prayers for anxiety, say them in private, or speak them aloud. Reach out to God in your struggle and find His peace. Refuse to let holiday stress steal your joy.
Because I know you want to feel better, choose thoughts that lift your spirit and not those that drag it down.
