Finding Faith means resting in God’s presence today. Today we travel to Psalm 46:10.
It’s Friday, and you’ve probably been running all week. Work, errands, calls, and a million little things fighting for your attention. Before you dive into the weekend, let’s hit pause. This is your reminder that resting in God’s presence isn’t just for Sunday. It’s for right now.

Resting in God’s Presence
We’ve trained ourselves to stay busy. We think if we stop, we’ll fall behind. But God isn’t asking us to hustle harder. He’s inviting us to rest, and to trust that He’s got things handled. Why? Because you’re gonna mess around and hurt yourself!
Resting in God’s presence doesn’t mean doing nothing. It means handing over what’s been weighing on you and saying, “Lord, You take it from here.” It’s about letting His peace meet you in the middle of the mess. Maybe it’s been a long week. Maybe you’re tired in ways coffee can’t fix. That’s exactly when God whispers, “Be still.”
Finding Faith In The Pause
So before the weekend kicks into full gear, take a few quiet minutes. Sit with your thoughts, say a quick prayer, and let your heart slow down. Try whispering, “Lord, I rest in Your presence.” That’s it. Simple, honest, and powerful. You might be surprised at how much lighter you feel after that.
And if you could use a little extra encouragement, head over to our Online Prayer Wall. Drop a prayer, read someone else’s, and remember you’re not walking this road alone. We’re all learning to rest a little better together.

God doesn’t need our perfection. He just wants our attention. When we stop trying to do everything and start spending time with Him, He reminds us that peace was never about control, it was about connection. Resting in God’s presence isn’t lazy. It’s faith with your feet up.

Finding Faith In Prayer
Father,
It’s Friday, and I’m thankful to just stop for a minute. You’ve carried me through another week, even when I didn’t see it. Right now, I’m choosing to rest in Your presence. My thoughts have been running nonstop, my heart’s been heavy, and I’ve been trying to handle too much on my own. So here it is, Lord, I’m laying it all down.
Help me breathe deeper this weekend. Teach me to stop stressing about things that haven’t even happened. Remind me that You’re already in tomorrow, working out what I can’t see yet. Thank You for being patient with me when I rush ahead. Slow me down enough to notice You in the small things…the quiet morning, a laugh with a friend, or a moment of peace before bed.
Lord, refill my heart. Replace my worry with Your calm. Let Your presence soak into every corner of my life so that when Monday comes, I’m not running on fumes but resting in faith. Thank You for being close, kind, and constant. You’re my peace, my reset, and my rest. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
