Happy Thanksgiving! I pray your day is going well and peaceful! As I write this post, my family is gathering around the TV getting ready for Movie #1 of the day. Waiting, I write this post to you and your family, with some one-sentence prayers you can share around your table.
The Apostle Paul said it best in 1 Thessalonians 5:18:
“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

That short verse carries a massive truth. Gratitude is about choosing to see God’s goodness even when life feels heavy. Laughing with friends, missing someone special, or just trying to get through the day, there’s always a reason to say, “thank You.”
So, as you gather around your table, your couch, or even your phone screen this Thanksgiving, think on these one-sentence prayers and may they be a blessing to your day. They’re simple, honest, and yes, obvious, but needed to be said.
Be Grateful and Thankful this Friday!

💛 Living Thankful Every Day
It’s easy to complain when things feel hard, but choosing to thank God anyway builds faith that lasts. Everyone complains, it’s how we get through the day, but it’s time to replace that with something more.
Start small. Thank Him for your morning coffee, your car that still runs, or the text from someone who remembered you today. Those small thanks stack up. Before long, you’ll start seeing life through the lens of gratitude, and that’s when peace shows up.
And if today doesn’t feel like a happy Thanksgiving, that’s okay too. You don’t have to fake it. Gratitude isn’t about ignoring pain; it’s about trusting God in the middle of it. Every breath, every heartbeat, every sunrise is proof that He’s still faithful.
So, whether your table is full or quiet this year, take a second to whisper one simple prayer:
“Thank You, Lord, for everything—exactly as it is.”
Because that’s where true thanksgiving begins.
🌻 Closing Thought
Gratitude doesn’t erase challenges, it transforms them. When you practice thankfulness in every circumstance, you start to see God’s fingerprints everywhere: in laughter, in tears, in traffic jams, and even in turkey leftovers.
Happy Thanksgiving, friend. May your heart stay full, your faith stay strong, and your gratitude never stop growing.
