I recently had the chance to do a Q&A with Chase. His answers are below:
- What was the inspiration?
There were a lot of times in my life when I’d feel lost or uncertain about something, and I’d open my Bible hoping to find a verse that was relevant to my situation. Sometimes I would, and I’d never feel clearer and closer to God. Other times I’d close it and try again, and again. I thought it’d be great if I could journal what was on my mind and have the verse I needed just show up. That was the initial inspiration. Since then, Nemora has grown into something much bigger, but that’s how it started. - At 20 years old creating an app like this – amazing. What areas in the app do you see could grow and evolve?
Really, the whole thing. I think every part of Nemora can improve: the quality of the responses, the user experience, the interface, and so on. I just submitted a new update and am shifting focus to polishing and refining what’s already there and making the experience as good as I can with what I currently have. What I really need at this point is community feedback. I need people to tell me what they love, what they hate, and what they wish Nemora had. That is how we build this into something that genuinely brings people closer to God.
One of my favorite parts of the app is the journaling section. It gives you a simple place to write out your thoughts, prayers, and reflections each day, with the option to receive a response that connects back to Scripture.
The “Ask” section is another strong feature. It helps you look back at previous entries and notice patterns in your prayer life that you might otherwise miss. Used the right way, it becomes a helpful support tool, not a replacement for time in the Word.

- AI with Christians is a wide question with colorful thoughts. What kind of response has that received?
People don’t want AI telling them what to believe; they want that to come from the Bible. I completely agree. I built the AI in Nemora to ground every response first and foremost with Scripture. The whole point of AI in Nemora is not to replace the Bible, but bring you closer to it in a way that resonates with whatever might be going on in your life. Those who have used the AI in Nemora have given very positive feedback. - How many users so far?
Nemora is still very small and I am working hard to get it in front of the people who might find it useful. Right now it has 765 sign-ups, 37 subscribers, and 53 people trialing. - When we think about sharing the Gospel of Christ in this world, where do you think Nemora will be able to help them be more confident and bold in doing so?
I think confidence and boldness in sharing the Gospel come from a real belief and relationship with God; and that only comes from consistently wrestling with Him and walking with Scripture. The problem is that most people aren’t consistent. It’s the same with physical fitness: everyone wants to be fit, but very few go to the gym consistently, and the same is true of a lot of people’s spiritual walk. Nemora aims to make it easier to stay consistent. - What is a feature you hope everyone will really get excited about?
Tying back to what I just said, reading plans are probably the feature I’m most excited about, and I hope others will be too. They’re tailored paths through Scripture built specifically for you. It’s like a personal trainer, but for the Bible.
