Looking to pray for your enemies but don’t know where to start? Here’s a prayer to help you out…
Heavenly Father,
As I come before you today, I acknowledge the teaching of Jesus to pray for our enemies. It is not an easy task, Lord, but I understand the importance of showing love and compassion even to those who may have wronged us. Help me to embody the spirit of forgiveness and understanding as I lift up those who have caused me pain or hardship.

I pray for their well-being, Father. May they find peace and clarity in their hearts. May their actions be guided by wisdom and kindness, and may they come to understand the impact of their choices on others. Give them the strength to confront their own struggles and to seek reconciliation where needed.
Lord, I also pray for my own heart, that I may release any resentment, anger, or bitterness towards those who have hurt me. Help me to see them through your eyes and to extend grace as you have extended it to me.
In praying for my enemies, may I become an instrument of your peace, reflecting your boundless love and mercy. Grant me the courage to forgive and the humility to seek reconciliation where possible. Through this act of prayer, may healing and restoration begin, both in their lives and in mine.
In the name of Jesus, who prayed for those who crucified him, I ask for the strength and grace to follow his example.
Amen.
