Monday Motivation: Parents, Kids, And Summer Vacation

Today’s Monday motivation goes to the parents who are trying to keep their kids occupied during the Summer break. It is a journey for sure!

I can recall the Summers of my youth, which involved vacation Bible school, summer jobs, and lots of time in a pool or on a slip ‘n slide. My uncles would sometimes come through and carry us to the beach. There were also those Friday nights at Pizza Hut, video games, and the evening cruises. Nowadays, I’m not sure if parents do that.

Ever ride? We would ride around going nowhere, but we enjoyed it. Whether you’re going to a mall or to an amusement park, keeping those kids busy is exhausting. So today, we pray for parents! Hang in there! Below is a Bible reading plan that you can do with your kids each night before bed.

Monday Motivation: A Prayer For Parents This Summer

Heavenly Father,

We come to You seeking guidance and strength for the precious journey of parenting. We thank You for our children and for the time we get to spend with them during these carefree days. We are truly blessed.

Lord, help us remember Your words in Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go.” We pray for wisdom in teaching them Your ways this summer, filling our days with moments that reflect Your love and grace.

As we dive into various activities, from trips to the pool to family outings, may we embrace the opportunities to share our faith. Help us to create experiences that lead our children closer to You. Let every laughter, every adventure, and even the quiet moments serve as reminders of Your goodness.

In times of conflict or frustration, let the words from Colossians 3:13 guide us: “Bear with each other and forgive one another.” Help us to show grace to our children, just as You show grace to us, and to practice forgiveness in our family.

Thank You for being our constant source of strength. May this summer be a time of growth, joy, and deeper connections with You and each other.

In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.

May this be some Monday Motivation that you can put to action and be blessed.
