Praying for Christmas is something we should all be doing right now. I know you’re working hard to make sure you’ve got enough money to buy gifts and travel. Even though we know that’s not the reason for the season, it’s what we do to show love to our families and friends. And that’s something we all want to participate in right?

Praying for Christmas: Here are this week’s Prayer Prompts:
Monday Prayer Prompt:
Heavenly Father, as the Christmas season draws near, help us to set aside time each day to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Guide our hearts to focus on the birth of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who came to save us from our sins. May we find joy and peace in knowing that through His birth, we have eternal life. Amen.
Tuesday Prayer Prompt:
Dear Lord, as we prepare for Christmas, remind us of Your love and grace. Teach us to extend that love to others, just as You have shown us. Help us to be kind and compassionate to those we meet, and may our actions be a shining light in a world that often lacks peace. Strengthen us to be instruments of Your peace during this season. Amen.
Wednesday Prayer Prompt:
Heavenly Father, during this Christmas season, we remember those who are experiencing loneliness, grief, or hardship. Help us to reach out to them and offer them comfort and support. Open our eyes to their needs and give us the wisdom to know how to be a source of hope in their lives. May we be channels of Your love and encouragement to those who need it most. Amen.
Thursday Prayer Prompt:
Dear Lord, as we gather with our friends and family this Christmas, may our conversations be filled with love and grace. Help us to speak words of encouragement, forgiveness, and unity. Guide us in building stronger relationships and in resolving any conflicts that may arise. May our words reflect Your love and may our interactions be a testimony of Your power to transform lives. Amen.
Friday Prayer Prompt:
Heavenly Father, as we wrap gifts and prepare for Christmas celebrations, remind us of the ultimate gift You have given us – the gift of Your Son. Help us to remember that material possessions are temporary, but the gift of salvation through Jesus is eternal. Fill our hearts with gratitude and let our gifts be a reflection of Your generosity and love. Amen.
Saturday Prayer Prompt:
Dear Lord, as we participate in Christmas traditions and festivities, help us to keep our focus on You. May the carols we sing, the decorations we put up, and the meals we share, all remind us of Your presence in our lives. Protect us from becoming consumed by the commercialism of the season, and instead, may we honor You with our thoughts, words, and actions. Amen.
So as you are praying for Christmas, I hope these prompts will help you in your prayer journey and in your prayer journals! Be encouraged! It’s gonna be ok!
