According to reports a Japan Earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.6 hit the Noto region in Ishikawa prefecture at around 4:10 PM local time (07:10 GMT).Tsunami warnings were initially issued for the coastal prefectures of Ishikawa, Niigata, and Toyama, with a major warning for Ishikawa later downgraded. Waves around 1 meter (3.3 feet) struck parts of the west coast along the Sea of Japan, with larger waves possibly expected. Buildings were damaged, power outages hit thousands of homes, and travel disruptions occurred in the region. No major injuries or fatalities have been reported yet, but search and rescue operations are ongoing.

We come before you with heavy hearts, praying for the recovery and safety of all those affected by the powerful earthquake that struck western Japan. We ask for your comforting presence to be felt by those who are trapped, injured, or afraid in the midst of this disaster. We lift up the people of Ishikawa Prefecture, especially those who are facing the devastation firsthand. We pray for the swift and successful rescue of anyone who is currently trapped or in danger. Grant wisdom to the emergency responders, strength to the volunteers, and resilience to the communities as they come together to support one another. Bring peace to the hearts of those who have lost homes, livelihoods, and loved ones.
We also pray for those who are living in fear of potential tsunamis and for the safety of all those along the coast. May your hand of protection be upon them, keeping them from harm. We ask for your guidance and wisdom for the leaders and officials involved in managing this crisis. Strengthen them as they make decisions and coordinate efforts to bring relief and aid to those in need. In this time of uncertainty and distress, we place our hope and trust in you, Lord. May your healing touch be upon the land, bringing restoration and renewal to the affected areas. Surround the people with your love, peace, and hope as they navigate through this difficult time.
